Quasibonko!!!

Hello Pussycats!!

One of the great things about living in London is that people in the UK genuinely love the Fast Show. I was having Fast Show withdrawal symptoms a few weeks ago, so I decided to pick up the Fast Show Live Collection when I saw it cheap at HMV. I watched the two DVDs on successive nights and realised once again how much I simply adore this show. The Fast Show Farewell tour features the best Rowley Birkin sketch EVER (what a bold statement) and the ‘Cheesey Peas Dancers’ make a hilarious appearance. Mmmm… Nice…

Series one to three of the Fast How are back on my shelf in NZ and I bought the three spin-offs (Ted & Ralph, Swiss Toni and Grass) not long after arriving in the UK. But one day I had an epiphany that there was something missing from my collection… and that would be ‘The Last Fast Show Ever’ series. So, I did some minor research into the Ultimate Fast Show set and discovered that this jewel, as well as making of documentaries, “You Ain't Seen These, Right?" (a collection of original sketches that never made it onto the finished series), and audio commentaries, are all included on this glorious seven disc set priced at a slim £14.50 at Amazon.co.uk (including free super-saver postage).

This purchase renders my Fast Show DVDs in NZ redundant, so these DVDs will need to find a good home. And… The lucky winner of my New Zealand Fast Show DVD collection is John Moffat… because… I saw John wrapping presents when it’s nobody’s birthday!!! One good turn deserves another!

Besides you can’t go wrong when somebody like Johnny Depp (who is worshipped by God knows how many silly weak-at-the-knees women) declares Paul Whitehouse as one of the best actors of his generation.

You ain’t read this… right?
